French sculptures exhibited in Harbin

At the end of January, 2005, an exhibition of French sculptures which
covers a span of forty centuries opened at the Carrefour Supermarket in
Harbin's Dongli District. Harbin residents can view world-famous ancient
sculptures from the Louvre Museum, the Museum of Orsay and the National
Museum of Versailles. These 87 sculptures on display were real-size
duplicates in the last 300 years by the Association of French National
Museums. The well-known "Venus" (Venus of Milo) and the Victory of
Samothrace were viewers' favorites.
