Xinjiang reports bird flu cases

2005. More than 6,500 chickens were found infected by the virulent H5N1
bird flu strain in Urumqi and Zepu counties in the northwest Xinjiang
region on Nov. 9, and more than 2,700 died.[Xinhua]
